Some
of
the
most
beautiful
colors
in
aurora’s
comes
from
the
movement
of
electrons
in
molecular
orbitals.
For
example,
when
an
electron
falls
from
an
excited
state
position
to
the
ground
state,
there
is
an
emission
of
light
that
can
be
in
the
visible
region
of
the
spectra,
producing
color.
For
example,
the
transition
N,
>N,
produces
a
deep
red
color
(the

represents
a
molecule
in
an
excited
state
—
meaning
it
has
an
electron
that
is
not
in
the
lowest

orbital).
The
transition
N,
>
N,
produces
a
blue
violet
color.
Draw
a
MO
diagram
for
N,"
and
N,"".
Assume
the
excited
electron
in
N,
is
in
the
next
available
electronic
orbital
above
the
ground
state.
Would
you
expect
the
bond
in
N,

N,
to
be
stronger,
and
why?
Which

molecular
geometry:
valence

(hybridization)
or

Why is it less clear to see the electrons on HBrO2 molecular electron geometry than it is on something like H2O? I know there should be 20 electrons on HBrO2, but this leads me to an incorrect drawing. And with the correct drawing, I don't see where all the electrons are. It seems like there's only 10 total. What am I missing here?
