Greetings Employees, Bottom Line: Due to advertising revenues declining within the company, our annual company 8% bonus will be cut. Subject Line: Annual Performance Bonus Cut. It is great that you all are looking forward to the fall season and enjoying the first signs of it here. Apple picking can certainly be a fun activity for the whole family to enjoy and I encourage you all to see the nearby orchard that Is located close by. Unfortunately, the difficult business environment caused a significant drop in expenditure and advertising, projected to continue for most of 2022–2023. The two preceding quarters have resulted in an overall decrease in our advertising revenues while an increase in our operating expenses. The primary contributory factor to the increasing operating costs is shipping and distribution, being that we are now in a world where most businesses are e-commerce based. It is crucial for us at Epic Advertising that we respond rapidly to the current environment in order to preserve our financial stability, strengthen our position in the market, and get ready for the coming economic rebound. Additionally, we must continue to provide the exceptional levels of editorial content that our readers and audience have come to expect from our magazines and websites. After much thought, this is a challenge that has not been presented to us before. With that being said, we have determined that we are unable to continue providing the yearly 8% performance bonus as a workplace benefit after giving it a lot of thought. However, this change will take effect immediately and we sincerely apologize and hope that everyone’s ability to still strive and work ethic for the 8% remains; though the annual performance bonus will no longer be available. All, please ensure to vote during this year’s general election as an opportunity to be heard and in order to hold nominated officials responsible for the decisions being made regarding the prominent issues surrounding the community.
