HCM-415 Module 4-1 “SWOT” Analyzing the SWOT outcomes of the organization comes after examining Huntington Hospital, the case study, and the organizational procedures. According to the hospital's website, one of its strengths is its history of providing the San Gabriel Valley with top-notch medical care. The largest emergency department and sole level-II trauma center in the San Gabriel Valley are located at Huntington, which has been a top-performing hospital since 2012 and offers access to life-saving emergency and trauma care around-the-clock. The safest start to life is provided for newborns by our Family Birth Center and level-III neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) [CITATION Hun23 l 1033]. Weaknesses from the case study include ineffective teamwork, poor communication skills, inconsistent management styles, and unfavorable corporate cultures. The implementation of opportunities for improvement by the company updated training procedures, opportunities to develop management leadership skills, and adjustments required to advance the Accounts Receivable billing metric. Finally, risks include "the hospital's processes to ensure HH would become a stronger performer," [CITATION Gin23 l 1033] maintaining competitiveness with adjacent hospitals and upgrading the facilities technical systems to advance practices. “Environmental Factors”
The success and productivity of a healthcare organization can be impacted by a variety of external and internal environmental factors. Internal factors "include technology, social-cultural, economic, and legal elements," whereas internal factors "include organizational structure and culture, employees' competence, infrastructure, leadership and management, and collaborative care approach" [CITATION Pea21 l 1033]. Given that this hospital focuses on providing top-notch healthcare, its location directly affects how treatment is delivered in the area. To lower the risk of staff loss, lower revenue, and potential patient effect, it is critical that environmental variables including management, employee culture, and collaborative training process are updated and enhanced. The daily operations could be directly altered as a result and the chance of the Accounts Receivable billing metrics being reduced is possible. Hospital, H. (2023). About Us.
