From: Sarah Villanueva To: Department Manager Subject: Staffing Agency Dear Department Manager, Thank you for reaching out about using a staffing agency. There are some advantages and disadvantages when using a staffing agency versus hiring directly. Staffing agency recruit’s employees for the employer. They will get all the information that is needed such as our job requirements, how many employees are needed, and the rate of pay. Then the staffing agency will post a job description and place it on their websites. Once candidates apply the agency will find the possible candidate for the position and perform screening interviews. The staffing agency will also take care of paying the candidate however they do charge a fee which is a disadvantage to the company. Another disadvantage is the team bonding experience for all employees. An advantage of hiring a staffing agency is saving time with the hiring process. Also, they help expand the search of candidates. Furthermore, hiring directly has its advantage because job seekers are wanting permanent positions. If hiring directly you can avoid all the extra steps in seeking a staffing agency and focus on hiring talent that is needed for the organization. When using a staffing agency is involved it can have an impact on employee experience for the existing employees. A positive impact will help reduce the workload for existing employees. A negative impact will cause uncertainty for existing employees, and this may cause them to worry about their job security. After careful consideration since we have not tried it before I’m recommending that we do hire a staffing agency because this will save us some time on the recruitment side. Also, this will open up a more diverse candidate pool and bring unique talent and new perspectives into the team. I will also be recommending a mandatory meeting with current employees when this does happen to ensure them, they have job security and address any concerns or questions.
