The first area I can improve on is my formatting and knowing APA Style requirements. I utilized the Webster Writing Center and they helped me recognize the many errors in my draft. 2. The second area I can improve on is focusing and balancing the key points of the assignment rather than a generalized view (beginning/present/future) of the “sharing economy”. 3. The third area I can improve on is reducing editorializing and just stick to the facts and analyzing those facts as it relates to the assignment. Question 2 Poor example Hey all, Great day today. See at our team meeting Monday. I wanted to tell everyone that we’ve had a change in HR Policies. These are kind of important, so everyone will need to listen up. There is a new policy on travel reimbursements. You can’t just go take a trip anymore. The new policy had specific rules that must be followed OR ELSE. The rules include obtaining approval in advance for all travel. This must be obtained 30 days prior to travelling. You also have to use corporate approved travel vendors for all travel including use of rental car agencies. You must save all travel receipts to submit with your travel report. This includes Uber receipts. And, you have to get those travel reports uploaded in the system within one week of travel. Man – that’s a lot to do – but I know our team can make a difference and do it right. If you’ve got some questions – just throw them over to me. Thanks. Concise and stated desired outcome (to announce the new HR Policy) Not concise and not clear on the desired outcome Included contact information Did not include contact information Formatted the steps that need to be taken sequentially Steps that needed to be taken were not clear Trimmed out words not necessary to deliver the message Included too many words: H “These are kind of important, so everyone will need to listen up…” “Man – that’s a lot to do..” Kept it simple (KISS) Too wordy and hard to follow Part B (25 points) This week you are to complete a FINAL response to the following questions. The class will be divided into groups so you and your peers may collaborate on Part B of this assignment. This final response will be evaluated on content as well as completeness and clarity.
