1 Introduction
Purpose of the Report:
The purpose of this report is to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the current operational
challenges faced by Kelpies Furniture Scotland (KFS), particularly focusing on staff absenteeism,
quality issues, and demand concerns. The report aims to provide recommendations for
addressing these issues and improving overall business performance. The report has been
commissioned by the management team at KFS.
Type of Report:
This report is a diagnostic analysis report. It is intended for the management team at The Kelpies
Furniture Scotland, specifically those responsible for overseeing operations, production, and
human resources. The report aims to provide insights and recommendations to address the
identified challenges.
Scope:
The scope of this report encompasses the following objectives:
Identify the root causes of staff absenteeism, quality problems, and demand concerns at both
the original workshop location and the newly expanded site in Saline, Fife.
