BUS 4405 – Leadership Week 8 Learning Journal Buck, Timothy As I look back on my path towards escalating into a growing leader, I am pleased with the advancements I have achieved to date. In Unit 1, I portrayed myself as a Director first and foremost, and that knowledge still holds true. To me, directing is not only a title or job but rather a way of thinking and living. I have always felt drawn to scenarios where I can lead and create an uplifting influence on people. One of the centers of my leadership is eloquently articulating my thoughts and concepts. This aptitude has been immensely helpful in contrasting leadership roles which I have assumed in the past. However, there are areas which require more refinement; particularly, being too judgmental about myself and others which can be obstructive to leading extraordinarily. Accordingly, it has become one of my self-improvement objectives to practice greater tolerance with myself and everyone else around me. Throughout this course, I have been purposeful in reinforcing my influential characteristics. For instance, taking up more proactive projects and making sure that others are informed with prevalent information are something that I actively work upon; these faculties will prove invaluable at any workplace since they enable creating motivation for everybody by becoming models themselves. In terms of what extra advantages can be derived from my leadership qualities at any organization in the future: beginning from making sure that everyone feels valued within an affirmative workplace ambience to using communication for sharing ideas among both teams; ultimately inspiring them with examples set by oneself - these would all constitute elements whereupon my leadership capabilities would be beneficial. To conclude, briefly surveying through the point-to-point progressions made thus far provided me confirmation on how excruciating yet rewarding this journey entails for furthering into developing leader techniques. Even though certain parts need abundant polishing still, nothing incorrect could be identified so far; without delay continuing adjusting actions as per feedback from colleagues while focusing

on personal growth - such will remain persistently pushing forward ambitions even higher. Amazingly curious about tomorrow’s prospects combined with alive passions for creating favorably tangible effects on the world - those occupy focus currently! Sincerely, Me
