2 Introduction: This template should be used to record your reflections on the weekly sessions. Please use the spaces provided to reflect on what was discussed in class, what you gained from the session; did you find the content useful, how can you relate it to your studies at university as a business student. You will also need to discuss how you intend to further develop the skills discussed in class. This is a continuous process and should be completed during the module and not at the end. In week 8 you will be expected to submit what you have completed so far, via Blackboard, in order to receive feedback. You will then complete weeks 9 and 10 and summatively submit the journal in week 14. The Weekly Reflective Journal will be used in conjunction with your Personal Learning and Development Plan and Interview to work out the final grade for this module. Submission of all parts of the assessment are required in order to receive a grade. Week 1 Please describe in less than 200 words what was discussed in this session and how you plan to develop these skills. This week we discussed the main aspects of the course. This module helps us to improve our personality, to increase our self-confidence and to acquire new skills. Sometimes the education system can be very boring for new students, but personalized learning is much more dynamic because it includes interesting activities. We can better understand what is happening around us. How can we discover ourselves better than by applying some methods learned during the course. The main topics discussed relate only to the personality and skills needed in any situation. I like it a lot because it is a process of continuous learning.
3 Week 2 Please describe in less than 200 words what was discussed in this session and how you plan to develop these skills. Week 3 Please describe in less than 200 words what was discussed in this session and how you plan to develop these skills. In the third week we started the course with a short recapitulation of reflective thinking and then we started talking about a new technique of personal discovery, namely SWOT analysis. This analysis is an identity card in terms of the level we are at in many situations. In order to carry out such an analysis, it is important to know each other very well and to be honest with ourselves, in order to check as accurately as possible the four aspects, namely the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. Possible threats should motivate us to improve on our weaknesses. In the second week of the personalized learning course, we discussed the first important thing we need to do, which is to think. Every day we think about a lot of things, conscious or not. There are times when we get lost in the past and think of certain disappointed situations that we could not accomplish more. We have defined the concept of reflective thinking, which helps us to improve our memory, to optimize the way we make decisions, but also to reduce our stress. It is a form of personal analysis that teaches us how to have a greater awareness of things, through the way we decide what is important in our lives.

4 Week 4 Please describe in less than 200 words what was discussed in this session and how you plan to develop these skills. In the fourth week of personal learning, we debated a new concept, namely academic writing. It is important to learn how to do such a work, because we will use this structure for a long time to come. There are a lot of papers that we need to focus on, namely the essay, the report, the dissertation. Each work has a different structure, but the basic principles are the same, namely the logical structure, the use of formal language and the avoidance of unnecessary descriptions. If our goal is to pass the exams I have to learn in every form. Week 5 Please describe in less than 200 words what was discussed in this session and how you plan to develop these skills. In the fifth week we did a recap of the topic discussed last week, namely academic writing, and this week we will talk about the differences between academic writing and regular writing. Writing is a necessary and essential skill both in everyday life and at work, but especially in academic life. The writing also expresses who we are. Through writing we acquire certain skills such as communication, information, Basically writing is a life skill, not just something essential. Writing is also personal, everyone has a different style of writing that represents them, because writing expresses who we are and is the best way to express our personal ideas.
5 Week 6 Please describe in less than 200 words what was discussed in this session and how you plan to develop these skills. Week 7 Please describe in less than 200 words what was discussed in this session and how you plan to develop these skills. Use a minimum of one academic source and reference this. In the sixth week of the personal learning course, we added another important component necessary for our skills, namely reading. Reading is a necessary skill in everyday life and along with reading, we can accumulate other skills, such as understanding vocabulary and working on memory and attention. The faculty has a bookstore where we can find a lot of books and papers related to each course because it is always good to learn more. Also, when we turn to books, we turn to a continuous source of learning and train our thinking. The main topic addressed this week was plagiarism and the use of references. When referring to other people's ideas or arguments, we need to mention this. It is important to indicate the source of the information we used in our paper. Nowadays we have to be fair and honest and when we upload a paper we make sure that it includes our own words and if we use other sources they are correctly referenced. Whether it's a quote, an idea, or an entire work, we need to point it out, because we wouldn't have liked someone to use our work either. and to embrace it as their own achievement. 6 Week 8 Please describe in less than 200 words what was discussed in this session and how you plan to develop these skills. Use a minimum of one academic source and reference this. This journal should be formatively submitted for feedback, via Blackboard, at the end of this week. In week 8, we focused on how to make a presentation. When we present information clearly and effectively, it is a key skill in making us understand tp what we want to convey. Today, presentation skills are needed in almost every situation, both at work and at school. We can improve these skills with a little work. There are many situations in which we have to present to an audience such as presenting at an event, presenting a project at a meeting, making a PowerPoint presentation for a module. Each presentation has a few things in common about ourselves because we need to present well and we do this if we are to prepare effectively, we need to be clear about the message and finally, it is good to involve the audience in our presentation by addressing their few questions Reference: Hasler, E 2018, The built environment, Liverpool University Press, Liverpool. Week 9 Please describe in less than 200 words what was discussed in this session and how you plan to develop these skills. Use a minimum of one academic source and reference this.
