A situation that I have heard about and witnessed where the unethical side of marketing was displayed was when I was working at my place of work now and a co- worker decided she would take sick leave when she wasn't indeed sick. This said person deicides she could use her sick leave as a vacation leave. where I work we only get three personal days of leave and we get a certain amount of sick leave a month. This said person lied about being sick and took off work to go on vacation to Florida with her husband who also works as an employee with both of us amongst others. I perceived this as unethical because the two employees were dishonest, disrespectful, and did not show fairness. i believe they were dishonest because they lied about being sick. I believe they were disrespectful in the sense that they didn't care for others and decided to use sick leave as a personal when no one else can do that in the work place. I also believe they didn't show fairness because of how they used their leave compared to every other worker.
