original responsibilities and pursue new ones in many real-life circumstances or occupations.
In contrast, teachers are portrayed in this context as remarkable people who decide to stay in
the classroom despite having skills and qualities that may make them desirable candidates for
other jobs.
This claim also raises the possibility that the teaching profession is being promoted as
a noble and significant one, one that even the most gifted people choose to pursue. It suggests
that these people value the education of the next generation and feel fulfillment in their work
as educators.
"Unlike what happens so often in real life" conveys the idea that it is unusual or
surprising for highly talented individuals to stay in the classroom. It could also emphasize the
irony or peculiarity of the circumstance, showing how teaching is sometimes
underappreciated or not regarded as a profession for the "best and brightest."

Week 2:
Being a teacher is not an easy job. Hollywood frequently fosters the "Superteacher"
stereotype about educators by portraying them as having almost magical teaching skills and
the seamless ability to change the lives of their students. However, the actual day-to-day work
of a classroom teacher is much more complicated and nuanced than what is frequently
depicted on the big screen. In the actual world, being a school teacher is a difficult and
complex job that goes far beyond the romanticized portrayal on the screen. It entails a wide
range of duties, such as curriculum development, teaching, evaluation, classroom
administration, and more.
Many teachers are not only at school from 9-5, some teachers are willing to stay after
class to help those students who are in need. Or there is teachers that stay after hours to help
with coaching or for extra curriculum. Being a teachers takes a lot dedications and patience.
My brother's fiancée is a teacher and i am able to see how much goes into being a teacher.
Many people might believe that being a teacher is an easy job, but it is not. They are not just
teachers, they are also mentors and counsellors, advising students on both academic and
nonacademic issues and assisting them in overcoming the difficulties of adolescence.
Teachers are go above and beyond for their students. Beside my brother's fiancée
example as a teacher, Mrs.Bollerman from the Ellen show is also a perfect example. She had
won $150,000 and donated it back to her school which many people might not do. Teachers
play a huge role in students life and help them overcome. To this day, I am able to look back
at my high school experience and immediately think of my Drama teacher. Many times i had
doubted myself when it had came to the play I was writing and he was able to sit there and
showcase just how much he wanted to see the play come in action. Although i did not get a
proper goodbye due to covid, to this day i still think about his encouragement. It was
understood in our school that he had lost his wife and was struggling mentally but he did not
fail to come to class everyday with a smile on his face and help the students that needed help
or mentor.
Overall, being a teacher is so much more than teaching. A classroom teacher's daily
tasks include not just imparting knowledge but also creating a welcoming learning
atmosphere, keeping lines of communication open with all parties involved, and pursuing
ongoing professional development. It's a demanding but rewarding job. Teachers have saved
many lives without knowing.

Week 3:
To achieve an inclusive classroom, it is essential to instill a sense of importance in each
child. To do this, educators must first acknowledge and value the distinctive talents, experiences,
and viewpoints that every student contributes to the classroom. It should be apparent that every
student's voice counts by recognising diversity, whether it be in terms of culture, ability, or
hobbies. This is evident in the film when the teacher still made Sylvia feel welcomed and
important though she is a considered "different" due to her skin colour. living in Iraq and going
to school there as a Christian, we were kicked out of certain classes to do "work" around the
school. However, there was a teacher that always took those who got kicked out of class and took
the time to help the kids and catch up on their homework. In Fostering a sense of belonging
requires taking the time to comprehend students' issues, passions, and objectives. We can
establish a safe environment where students feel comfortable expressing themselves by
demonstrating empathy and respect. To ensure that every student has the chance to succeed,
inclusion also entails changing instructional strategies and course materials to fit various learning
preferences.
The development of student's goals and desires is critically dependent on instructors. To
accomplish this effectively, we must first acknowledge the individuality of each student's
dreams. It's crucial to promote a growth attitude, highlighting the importance of perseverance
and work in accomplishing one's objectives. teachers should act as guides, assisting students in
discovering their passions and interests and pointing them toward career paths that fit their
aspirations. With students, establishing attainable goals can serve as a road map for their
aspirations. Having an indivdual there that is constaently reminding you can do anything you
believe is important to students and it is exactly what they need.
In the classroom, motivation is the key to student development and success. First and
foremost, educators should be enthusiastic about their subjects and their profession in order to
foster a stimulating learning environment. When a teacher loves their profession, the students are
most likely to be able to This excitement spreads easily and can inspire in kids a sense of surprise
and inquiry. In order to create a setting where students feel encouraged to take risks and learn
from their failures, it is essential to promote a growth mindset. Celebrate not only
accomplishments but also the learning process and the fortitude of each student.
Make the classroom a place where diversity is celebrated as well as acknowledged. For
all kids to feel safe and empowered to develop to their greatest potential, it is crucial to foster a
sense of belonging. In conclusion, it is important for educators to ensure every child feels
appreciated, encouraged to follow their aspirations, and motivated to realize their full potential.
The documentary by Dr. Sylvia Hamilton serves as a timely reminder of the difficulties
marginalized populations have historically had in gaining access to education.
