Background and Content Areas in Family Life Education
Interpersonal Relationships is one of the initial family life education subject areas that I thought had the most connection to my internship. During my internship, I have been required to utilize my communication abilities in order to secure my position at WRB. I've had to practice problem-solving, making decisions, and notably preserving strong connections with parents and coworkers. Secure, responsive, and contingent interactions with adults and coworkers foster the development of social, intellectual, and emotional skills. I found that observing peers' and adults' behavior and having direct talks with them made it simpler to learn social skills and emotion management approaches.
Every day, professional ethics and practices are crucial to the smooth operation of the classroom. Demonstrate to your family, colleagues, and the society at large that you have professional attitudes, beliefs, behaviors, and responsibilities that align with ethical standards and
best practices. The fundamental prerequisite for early childhood educators' professional ethics is an awareness of the early years. Teachers have a responsibility to protect policies that respect every child and to ensure that every student has fair access to ECEC. A framework that considers
the language, gender, culture, ability level, and learning style must be established. Every child who walks into a classroom or center has the right to support and guidance from educators who believe in enabling them to realize their greatest potential. Human Growth and Development Across the Lifespan is another content area that I have explored. It entails knowledge of the normal and abnormal developmental shifts that people in families experience over the course of a lifetime. based on an understanding of psychological, social, moral, emotional, and physical characteristics.

Critical Thinking Prompts
My original goals and hopes going into the internship were to make contacts that would help me further my teaching career. In addition, I hope that my former lead instructors will be able to help me and provide recommendations for my future teaching position once I graduate. Knowing that my lead teacher in the classroom will be able to provide me with excellent recommendations makes me feel at rest. I am aware that getting advice from other students who are interning is beneficial, and you may talk to them about your ideas to make sure your enthusiasm doesn't affect your judgment. When leaving WRB and hearing my feedback on my final evaluation, I felt happy and satisfied. My previous feedback on my midterm evaluation from my lead teacher was underwhelming and I had wished she would have told me areas that I need work in. But completing my internship and knowing I made an impact on the kids and my co-workers was the
most rewarding aspect. I’m excited to take my skills into the future with me. The final feedback was amazing and my lead teacher thought I did exceptionally well with the kids, and told me that
I will be missed dearly. Since my internship, some of the professional skills that I have learned are to know how to work with numerous people, some that I work with daily and some only part of the time. Being able to communicate and facilitate a classroom regarding the circumstances or changes has been a huge competency that I have learned. When it came to physical alterations with the children, I had to learn quickly how to manage conflict and to help resolve it in a healthy manner. One of the biggest skills I have learned throughout my experience is that when times get
hectic, and a kid is misbehaving, to not let my own emotions or feelings get to me during a hard situation.

Career Goals
My career goals have stayed the same for the most part, and I think now more than ever I am certain on what age group of children I want to work with. Life has taken a bit of an unexpected turn for me, and I will actually be starting a new job in a medical/wellness center as a
manager of operations. The only reason that I am taking this opportunity is due to the pay being impossible to turn down. While I work at my new job, I want to pursue my masters or work on getting my credentials, and become a teacher again. Thankfully I am young and still have so many years to experience everything I want!
Favorite Memory
While I have loads of favorite memories working at WRB, one of the many standout moments that made everything feel worth it, was when one of my students that I had bonded immensely, just looked up at me and said “Heather, I love you”. I will never forget that sweet moment of knowing that I meant so much to one of my students that I love so dearly. Another one of my favorite moments was when I was playing a game of duck, duck, goose with the children on the lawn the other day. Watching them all play together brought me so much joy of getting to see them laugh and smile. I am so sad to leave here but I will be visiting probably every other week to say hi to everyone! This has been one of the best experiences of my life and I am so grateful for it!
