2 Ethos Frank is a master of the implementation of ethos in driving his message home to the court audience while defending Charlie. He speaks from a point of authority. He points out his long experience dealing with similar cases to that of Charlie. Besides, Frank uses ethos while discrediting the credibility and integrity of the people he is up against in the court. Frank cutting out his opponents in the court and asserting his buff over them is vital to the persuasion he is conveying to the people. His persistence drives a message to the entire audience. He is seen to be in control of the conversation taking place in the court, sounding more credible to the audience as compared to his opponents (Movieclips, 2011, 2:12). Logos Logos is highly used in the court session when Frank implores upon the court audience to understand Charlie (Movieclips, 2011, 2:88). According to him, Charlie is holding his future in his hands. Frank brought about logic in the scene while dictating to the court how their single decision could change the life of Charlie for worse. Pathos Frank is also coming out as a master of the use of pathos during the court proceedings. He keeps on changing his tone, body posture and thumping on the table to showcase his emotions towards the unfair treatment meted against Charlie. At the end of the scene, Frank paints a painful picture of what he has seen boys similar to Charlie going through. He mentions painful bodily harm that suddenly sends a wave of shock to the audience (Movieclips, 2011, 3:04).
