VII. Homo Floresiensis (Hobbits) Homo floresiensis, known as "Hobbits," lived on the Indonesian island of Flores around 100,000 to 50,000 years ago. Characterized by their small size and use of tools. Debates over their relationship to other hominin species. VIII. Homo Naledi Homo naledi is a recently discovered species in South Africa, dating to around 300,000 years ago. Shared both primitive and advanced features with other Homo species. Evidence of burial rituals and deliberate disposal of bodies. IX. Homo Denisova Denisovans are known from DNA evidence extracted from a finger bone found in Siberia. Interbred with both Neanderthals and modern humans. Limited fossil evidence, but their genetic legacy remains in some modern human populations. X. Homo Rhodesiensis Homo rhodesiensis lived in Africa approximately 125,000 to 300,000 years ago. Transitional species with traits of both archaic and modern Homo. Contributed to the complexity of human ancestry. Homo Sapien Ancestors (Continued) XI. Homo Antecessor Homo antecessor is known from fossils in Spain and the United Kingdom, dating to around 800,000 years ago. Showed evidence of cannibalism, indicating complex behavior. XII. Homo Heidelbergensis Homo heidelbergensis is considered a possible ancestor of both Neanderthals and Homo sapiens. Evidence of early symbolic behavior, such as the use of pigments. XIII. Controversies and Ongoing Research The classification of hominin species is a dynamic field with ongoing debates and discoveries.
New technologies, such as DNA analysis, are shedding light on the relationships and interbreeding between species. XIV. Conclusion The study of Homo sapien ancestors provides valuable insights into the development of human traits, behaviors, and culture. Our evolutionary history is marked by diversity and adaptation, contributing to the complex tapestry of human origins.
