Rosemary Gonzalez EEC 4211 Short Assignment #6 - Critiquing a children’s science book A children’s science book would be All About Weather By: Huda Harajli. The effectiveness of science teaching with books is to help students understand methods and activities in big groups, small grounds, and while reading. Teachers need to have a good class environment to be able to teach and have children learn about science through a book or reading. All About Weather has been created for children ages 3-5 years old. The book has simple explanations, and it is very colorful for children to be interested in. The books explain many interesting things about the weather, insects that explain scientific details. The book also teaches fun facts about to gather the readers attention. By learning science through books children can practice connections that can help them comprehend text in the book and relate to what they already know. As of limitations sometimes books don’t give children the teaching they need and don’t explain what teachers want them to know. This is why sometimes science is also good being taught hands on.
