Pancreas contains centroacinar cells due to intercalated ducts protrude into the acinus.
•
Pancreas produces bicarbonate ions and digestive enzymes whereas parotid gland produces saliva.
•
Pancreas sends its serous secretions through a main pancreatic duct, so it does not have many striated
ducts whereas in the parotid gland they have a lot of ducts.

Where are Kupffer cells located in the liver and what is the main function of this cell type? (1 mark) Kupffer cells are located in the lining of sinusoids and they function to breakdown hemoglobin in broken down red blood cells coming from the spleen.
