Construction:
The given figure is as follows
First trace the given segment and mark it as AB
Now put compass on A and open it more than half of the length of the segment and mark arcs on both the sides of the line segment.
Now put compass on B and with the same radius mark arcs on both the sides of the line segment.
Mark intersection of both the arcs on both the sides of AB as C and D. Join C and D
CD is the perpendicular bisector of AB.
