According to the question, the photo is enlarged so that the length of the new photo is changed.

Also, the area of the rectangular photo is $l\times w$ .

Since, the area of each photo is same, only the dimensions is changed.

Therefore,the width of the new photois

Hence,the width of the new photois $2.14\text{inch}$ .
