Expert Solution & Answer
Chapter A, Problem 1E
Explanation of Solution
- The main aim of Microprocessor without Interlocked Pipeline Stages (MIPS) is to allocate the required dynamic memory into the segments that are stored far from the main memory.
- The compiler divides the dynamic memory into two different parts namely, dynamic data and stack segment.
- The dynamic data is a program allocation memory which is used in the execution of program.
- In stack segment, the values required by the program are pushed on to the stack and then the
operating system is used in segmenting the data down the stack.
- The dynamic data is a program allocation memory which is used in the execution of program.
- In stack segment, the values required by the program are pushed on to the stack and then the
operating system is used in segmenting the data down the stack.
The above diagram describes about the data exchange between the memory blocks. The memory blocks are placed as far as possible to avoid the interaction of the dynamic data between them.
