Interpretation:
Each atom has to be labeled with its state of hybridization and composition of each of the different types of bond has to be specified.
Concept Introduction:
Hybridization is a process of mixing atomic orbitals of comparable energy to form new hybrid orbitals with same energy and these orbitals involved in bonding. Only valence electrons are involved in hybridization.
Single bond between two atoms is formed by the sharing of one electron from each atom. A double bond formed between two atoms normally contains one sigma bond and one pi bond.
Sigma bond is formed by the overlap of atomic orbital along the inter-nuclear axis and the pi bond is formed by the lateral overlap of two pi orbitals of two atoms which are oriented in the same direction.
