Explanation of Solution

Some atoms emit particles and energy.  This is known as radioactivity.  Natural radioactivity is the term that is given to the emission of radiation by an unstable nucleus without any external intervention.  Spontaneous emission of radiation by unstable nucleus to form a stable nucleus is known as natural radioactivity.  Some of the natural radiations that are emitted by the unstable nucleus are alpha particles, positrons, beta particles etc.
