The weather ahead of as well as behind a warm front.
Answer to Problem 1RQ
Prior to the warm front arrival, winds tend to be from the east, temperature become cool and the gradual thickening of cloud cover occurs. After the passage of warm front, winds blow from the south direction, temperatures become warm and the sky gradually clears.
Explanation of Solution
A front can be described as a boundary surface that separates air masses of different densities. Generally, one of the mass is warmer and consists of more moisture than the other. However, the formation of fronts occurs between any two contrasting air masses also. A warm front is formed when the surface position of a front moves and thereby warmer air invades territory previously occupied by cooler air.
