Answer to Problem 11CT
Solution:
The direct approach is used to write a company report when it has performed extremely well and has met its annual targets. The indirect strategy is used when the company has not performed well and has not met its target.
Explanation of Solution
Direct approach and indirect approach should be used cautiously. The situation needs to be analyzed before deciding on the approach to be used. The following are the situations in which the direct approach and the indirect approach in writing a company’s report are used:
When the company has achieved the expected targets then the direct approach is used in the company report.
When the company has not performed well and has not met its targets then indirect approach is used. Also to avoid negative impact, the company creates a buffer by promising to deliver in the next year.
