Introduction: The pigment present in the plants is of two types. The green coloured pigment is the chlorophyll which is present in the chloroplast of the cells while the other pigment is the carotenoid. This pigment isis reddish-yellow and imparts colour to flowers, fruits and sometimes to the leaves.
