Interpretation: Information regarding Curie temperature is given. Paper clips made of nickel are held near permanent magnet and these are given to get attracted. One of the clips is observed to fall down when the one of the paper clips is heated. The reason corresponding to this phenomenon is to be stated.
Concept introduction: When spin of the unpaired electrons of ions or atoms of the solid align themselves in the direction that is same as the direction of the neighboring atoms or ions, then the substance behaves as a permanent magnet and the magnetism shown by such a substance is called ferromagnetism.
The paramagnetic substances are the substances in which the spins of the electrons of the ions or atoms are randomly oriented.
To determine: The reason for the falling down of the nickel clip when one of the clips is heated.
