The effect of pressure on liquids boiling point has to be given.

Concept Introduction:

The molecules in the liquid state can go to gaseous state by the process of boiling or evaporation.

Boiling point of a liquid is defined as the temperature at which the liquid’s vapour pressure equals the atmospheric pressure.

Boiling point is related only to the liquid phase and it varies with atmospheric pressure.

If we increase the pressure, boiling point of a liquid also increases and vice versa.
