Concept introduction:
Two parameters that affect the solubility are temperature and pressure. The effect of these two parameters is different for gases and solids. For solids, the solubility tends to increase with an increase in temperature while the high temperature reduces the solubility of gases.
At high-temperature gas, molecules have much greater kinetic energy compared to the low temperature. Therefore the gas molecules tend to escape into the atmosphere that diminishes the solubility of gases.
