To state: The reason for the reoccurrence of herpes simplex.
Introduction: Herpes is a type of viral infection caused by herpes simplex virus (HSV). There are two types of HSV, namely HSV-1 and HSV-2. HSV-1 is transmitted by the infected saliva and generally associated with the oral infection. It can also cause genital herpes. In HSV-1, the lesions appear as clusters of inflamed and painful vesicles over the tongue, on the lip, within the mouth, and around the nose. The genital infections are mostly caused by HSV-2. This is transmitted during viral shedding by the skin-to-skin mucous membrane contact. The lesions begin as a small vesicle and progress to ulceration with pain, itching, and weeping.
