Queue:

  • Queue is a type of container used to insert and remove an item according to first-in-first-out (FIFO) principle.
  • In queue, the elements are entered at the rear end of the queue and removed from the front end of the queue.
  • The two operations of queue are,
    • Enqueue – It is the operation to insert an item into the back of the queue.
    • Dequeue – It is the operation to remove an item from the front of the queue.
  • Example – Waiting line in a ticket counter because it gives first come first serve basis service.
