An abnormal enlargement of the heart is called cardiomegaly. This enlargement of heart occurs due to several causes but generally, these conditions result from coronary artery disease or high blood pressure. Blood is not pumped effectively when a heart is enlarged that resulting in congestive heart failure. The congestive heart failure may arise chest pain, heart palpitations, fatigue, and fainting.
