List slicing:

• • A slice is a span of elements that are taken from a list.
• • Normally, the slice expression has a start index and an end index for slicing.

Syntax:

In Python, the list slice statement can be expressed as follows:

listname[start:end]

Explanation:

In the list slice syntax,

• • The “start” represents the index of the first data in the slice.
• • The “end” represents the index that marks the end of the slice.
• • The list slice expression returns a list having a copy of data from index “start” up to index “end-1”.
