Interpretation Introduction

Interpretation:

The length of the cubic box such that the zero-point energy of the electron is equal to its rest mass energy, $m_e{c}^2$ has to be calculated.  The answer has to be expressed in terms of the parameter, ${\lambda }_{\text{C}}=\frac{h}{m_{e}c}$.

Concept introduction:

The Compton wavelength is the property of the electron in quantum mechanics.  It is denoted by ${\lambda }_{\text{C}}$.  The Compton wavelength is given by the expression shown below.

    ${\lambda }_{\text{C}}=\frac{h}{m_{e}c}$
