The factory expenses overhead rate can be calculated by dividing the cost with labor hours. Activity rate is calculated by dividing the cost into to machine hours or labor hours. General factory cost is measured in terms of labor cost. Different types of overhead are measure as per different measures. When recording the activity the measures are accurately recorded by the concern department head. There are three types of over head viz., manufacturing overhead, administration overhead and sales or marketing overhead.
