Introduction:

The pelvic girdle is formed by two hip bones, pelvic spine coccyx, and sacrum. The sacrum, coccyx and the bones of pelvic girdle form the bowl-shaped pelvis. The pelvic girdle helps in the attachment of lower limbs, supports the trunk of the body, and provides protection to the urinary bladder, large intestine, and reproductive organs. The body weight is supported and transmitted through pelvic girdle.
