The central of nursing practice is caring. Caring helps to maintain the philosophical and ethical roots of the profession. It is the ability of the nurse to work with people in a therapeutic as well as a respectful way. It is a person to person encounter that involves “being with” and “being there” for the patients during their illnesses. It is a type of gentle performance and skillful procedure that conveys the security to the patient from the nurse. Caring process in the nursing practice includes providing presence, listening, and offering a caring touch to the patient.
