Chapter 6.2, Problem 6SCP
Program Plan Intro

Reading the data from the files using “Scanner” class:

  • The user can read data from a file using the object of “Scanner” class.
  • The Scanner object is like a faucet, that the user can attach a pipe that has water flowing through it. The source of the water is different.
  • Normally, the object of “Scanner” constructor is created by passing “System.in” to the Scanner constructor.
  • To create Scanner object for file operation, instead of passing “System.in” to the constructor, user should pass File object.

    File f = new File( "hamlet . txt" );

    Scanner input = new Scanner(f) ;

  • In the above snippet of code, the file object f is created. This file object is passed to the “Scanner” constructor to get the data from the file using the object “input”.
  • When the Scanner object is created, it points to the starting or beginning of the file.
  • The Scanner class cut the line at the blank space and each portion of the line is called as a token.

Delete a Bunny: Remove a registered bunny from the list. List All Bunnies: Display all registered bunnies and their details. Save & Load Data: Store bunny data in a file to persist between runs. Use a struct to represent a bunny contestant. Store data in a binary file (bunnies.dat) for persistence. Use file I/O functions (fopen, fwrite, fread, etc.) to manage data. Implement a menu-driven interface for user interaction.
