To Explain:The horizontal motion can be uniform while vertical motion is accelerated in a projectile motion. The effect on the projectile motion when air resistance is considered.
Explanation of Solution
Introduction:
A type of motion in which object moves along curved path under the action of gravity.
The horizontal component of velocity remains constant because there is no acceleration acting in the horizontal direction. In the vertical direction, acceleration due to gravity acts and so, vertical motion is accelerated. When air resistance is considered, the drag force acts in the direction opposite to motion. Both horizontal and vertical motion would be affected.
