Interpretation Introduction

Interpretation: The root-mean-square speed of $\text{He}$ gas at $\text{300}\text{K}$ is given to be $\text{1}\text{.370}\times {\text{10}}^{\text{3}}\text{m}/\text{s}$. The graph between $u_{rms,\text{He}}$ and $T$ for $T=\text{300},\text{450},\text{600},\text{750}\text{and}\text{900}\text{K}$ is to be plotted and nature of the graph is to be predicted.

Concept introduction: The root-mean-square speed is used to find out the single value of speed of the gas molecules that move in random directions having different speed and the formula is,

$u_{rms}=\sqrt{\frac{3\text{R}T}{M}}$

To determine: The graph between $u_{rms,\text{He}}$ and $T$ for $T=\text{300},\text{450},\text{600},\text{750}\text{and}\text{900}\text{K}$ and nature of the graph.
