Prime factorizations of the denominators are given as follows:

The lowest common denominator is given as follows:

Divide 16 by first fraction denominator 16.

  16÷161

Multiply 1 with first fraction 316 on numerator and denominator.

  316=3×116×1=316

Divide 16 by second fraction denominator 4.

Multiply 4 with second fraction 74 on numerator and denominator.

  74=7×44×4=2816

Divide 16 by third fraction denominator 2.

Multiply 8 with third fraction 12 on numerator and denominator.
