To describe:
The anatomy of the ear including the external, middle, and inner ear.
Concept introduction:
The ear is an organ that is involved in the hearing the external sounds. It is made up of four parts, namely the external ear, the outer ear, the middle ear, and the inner ear. The ear disorders were categorized based on the affected part or portion of the ear. The outer and the middle ear are commonly affected due to the earwax accumulation, inflammation, bacterial, and fungal infections.

Explanation of Solution
External and outer ear:
The external ear comprises an outer projecting part called the pinna and the opening of the ear canal. The pinna is also termed as the auricle and ala. The outer ear is also referred as the external auditory canal. It is a space between the tympanic membrane (ear drum) and the external auditory meatus through which the sound waves are passed into the inner regions of the ear.
Middle ear:
The middle ear is made up of the tympanic cavity. It is a space that starts with the tympanic membrane and ends in the oval window. It also comprises three mastoid bony structures and eustachian or auditory tubes. The three bony structures are the malleus (hammer), incus (anvil), and stapes (stirrup).
Inner ear:
The inner ear is the innermost part of the ear and it consists of two main parts such as cochlea, which is the hearing organ and semicircular canals, which is the balancing organs.
The inner, middle, and external anatomy of the ear are discussed.
