Chapter 52.5, Problem 5C
Summary Introduction
To compare: The dance of bees with the human language.
Introduction: Bees perform a dance to communicate with worker bees with respect to the direction and distance of the food. Bees perform waggle or round dance depending upon the distance of the food. Studies done by Karl von Frisch suggested that waggle dance tells about the direction and distance of the nectar. A newborn baby with his expressions is able to communicate the need for food. Similarly, bees with the expression of dance and movement are able to communicate the worker bees to look for the nectar.
