Introduction:

The roots in the plants are that part of the plant which is buried in the soil. The roots perform the function of absorption of water and food from the soil. Then, this absorbed minerals and water is transferred to other parts of the plants via xylem. The roots contain root cap and branches emerging out of the main root or other tiny roots too.
