Introduction: A messenger includes proteins, hormones, or any other molecules that bind to a specific receptor and induces a conformational change in the structure of the receptor. Messengers are of two types namely, primary or secondary messengers. G-protein–coupled receptor (GPCR) is seven-transmembrane extracellular receptors present in the cell membrane. G-proteins are generally bound to plasma membrane receptors on the cytosolic surface and they are made of three subunits, namely alpha, beta, and gamma subunits.
