Explanation of Solution

In India, Snow Leopard is among the most endangered species. It is on the verge of extinction. Its scientific name is Panthera uncia and is also known as ounce.

Snow Leopard is the large cat native to the mountain ranges of Central and South Asia.

On the IUCN Red List, it is listed as Vulnerable due to the global population is estimated to number less than 10,000 mature individuals that are will be declined about 10% by the year 2040.

The main reason of Snow Leopards dying is the killing by the locals or the farmers whose domestic pets are attacked by the snow leopards in search of food.

Conclusion

Snow Leopard, Amur Leopard, Orangutan, One-horn rhinoceros, Red Panda are some animals that are on the verge of extinction.
