Chapter 5, Problem 2LE
Summary Introduction

Concept introduction: Pathological diagnosis is the final diagnosis of a disease as it is the most consistent method used for demonstrating the microscopic stages of disease development. It is widely used to find out underlying causes of diseases and to detect whether the disease is caused by any infectious or by non-infectious agent. The studies are mainly based on the four components- cause, mechanism behind development of disease, structure changes of cells, and effects of the changes. An infectious disease associated with severe diarrhea is known as dysentery.
