Whether depressing of accelerator of a car is the only way that driver can make the car to accelerate. If not mention the other ways.

Answer to Problem 1CQ
Depressing accelerator is not only the way to accelerate a car. By changing the direction, the driver can accelerate the car.
Explanation of Solution
Usually to increase the speed the common method is to depress the accelerator of the car. But this is not only the way to accelerate the car.
Acceleration is defined as the change in velocity with respect to time, and velocity is a vector quantity has both magnitude and direction. If the direction changes, velocity will change, and therefore acceleration changes. Hence by turning the wheel driver can change acceleration.
Conclusion:
Therefore, the depressing accelerator is not only the way to accelerate a car. By changing the direction, the driver can accelerate the car.
