- (Financial: credit card number validation) Credit card numbers follow certain pat- terns. A credit card number must have between 13 and 16 digits. It must start with: 4 for Visa cards 5 for Master cards 37 for American Express cards 6 for Discover cards In 1954, Hans Luhn of IBM proposed an algorithm for validating credit card numbers. The algorithm is useful to determine whether a card number is entered correctly or whether a credit card is scanned correctly by a scanner. Credit card numbers are generated following this validity check, commonly known as the Luhn check or the Mod 10 check, which can be described as follows (for illustra- tion, consider the card number 4388576018402626): 1. Double every second digit from right to left. If doubling of a digit results in a two-digit number, add up the two digits to get a single-digit number. 4388576018402626 → 2 * 2 = 4 → 2 * 2 = 4 → 4 * 2 = 8 → 1 * 2 = 2 6 * 2 = 12 (1+ 2 = 3) → 5 * 2 = 10 (1+ 0 = 1) → 8 * 2 = 16 (1 + 6 = 7) → 4 * 2 = 8arrow_forwardHow many times does a for loop run? A. A for loop runs a random number of times. B. The value of the for loop variable defines the number of times a for loop may run. C. A for loop runs once. D. A for loop runs once for each item in the sequence included in the for statement. How do the lines of code in the body of a function get executed? A. As soon as the function is defined the code is executed B. The function must be called within the program C. The name of the function is passed in the exec command D. Based on the function's condition What happens when a function is called? A. The function is defined. B. The function is deleted. C. Program execution jumps to the function definition and executes the code in the function body. D. All of the above.arrow_forwardplease do not use javaarrow_forward
- 11: series.cpp) Write a program that will add the terms of an infinite geometric series. The program should read the first term (a) and the common ratio (r) for the series. It should then compute the sum in two ways: by formula ( s= ), and by adding the individual terms until the answer agrees with the formula to 7 significant digits. Then print the formula answer, the answer found by adding thearrow_forwardUsing the print function, print "Happy Earth Day".arrow_forwardQ3. (Dice Rolling) Write a program that simulates the rolling of two dice. The program should use rand to roll the first die and should use rand again to roll the second die. The sum of the two values should then be calculated. [Note: Each die can show an integer value from 1 to 6, so the sum of the two values will vary from 2 to 12, with 7 being the most frequent sum and 2 and 12 being the least frequent sums.] Figure 7.26 shows the 36 possible combinations of the two dice. Your program should roll the two dice 10,000 times. Use a one-dimensional array to tally the numbers of times each possible sum appears. Print the results in a tabular format. Also, determine if the totals are reasonable (i.e., there are six ways to roll a 7, so approximately one-sixth of all the rolls should be 7). 1 2 3 4 5 1 2 4 6 7 3 4 6 7 3 4 5 7 8 9 4 7 8 9 10 7 8 10 11 7 10 11 12 Row\Col 3.arrow_forward
- 05) write algorithm and draw flowchart for the problem: Read two numbers and find subtraction two numbers and then compare the result more than or less than with number 10?arrow_forwardProblem B. Musical Key ConversionThe chromatic scale is a 12-note scale in music in which all notes are evenly spaced: that is, the ratio of the frequency between any two consecutive notes is constant. The notes are typically labeled in the following sequence: A, A#, B, C, C#, D, D#, E, F, F#, G, G# After G#, the labels loop back and start over with A (one octave higher). To convert between musical keys, you can shift all notes in a piece of music a constant number of steps along the scale above. For example, the sequence of notes E, E, F, G, G, F, E, D, C, C, D, E, E, D, D can be converted to another musical key by shifting everything up three steps: E, E, F, G, G, F, E, D, C, C, D, E, E, D, D G, G, G#, A#, A#, G#, G, F, D#, D#, F, G, G, F, F Notice that G was converted to A#, since going three steps up required us to loop off of the top of the scale back to the bottom: G -> G# -> A -> A#. Technically we should note that this would be A# of the next octave up, but we’ll…arrow_forward*Please help in javascript* Summary: Given integer values for red, green, and blue, subtract the gray from each value. Computers represent color by combining the sub-colors red, green, and blue (rgb). Each sub-color's value can range from 0 to 255. Thus (255, 0, 0) is bright red, (130, 0, 130) is a medium purple, (0, 0, 0) is black, (255, 255, 255) is white, and (40, 40, 40) is a dark gray. (130, 50, 130) is a faded purple, due to the (50, 50, 50) gray part. (In other words, equal amounts of red, green, blue yield gray). Given values for red, green, and blue, remove the gray part. Ex: If the input is: 130 50 130 the output is: 80 0 80 import java.util.Scanner; public class LabProgram {public static void main(String[] args) {/* Type your code here. */}}arrow_forward
- Exams.cpp) Suppose a teacher weights the fourexams he gives 10%, 25%, 30%, and 35%. Write a programthat reads ten sets of four grades, prints the weightedaverage of each set, and prints the unweighted average ofeach test. The number of students should be in a globalconstant.arrow_forwardPythonarrow_forward[Python (py3)] Displayed below is a code for matrix addition. However, there is an error that should be fixed in the code. The error in the code below is if the number of rows of the matrix is not equal to the number of columns of the same matrix, matrix addition will not be performed. This should not be the case so please fix this error. The only requirement for matrices addition is that the dimension of Matrix A is equal to the dimension of Matrix B, regardless if the number of rows of Matrix A and Matrix B is equal to the number of columns of Matrix A and Matrix B, respectively (see sample input and output below). Please resolve the error in the code below such that Matrix A and Matrix B can be added if the dimension of Matrix A is equal to the dimension of Matrix B. PLEASE do not just copy the code below and use it as the answer itself. I've encountered such case many times. Please modify the code. When the dimension of Matrix A is not equal to the dimension of Matrix B, print…arrow_forward
