A survivorship curve for a species with high rates of predation in early life and one for a species with high mortality late in life and the type of survivorship these species display.
Introduction:
The survivorship is the proportion of individuals from the initial cohort (a group of individuals born at a given time) that survive to each successive stage of life cycle. The age of population differs at which they experience the most mortality. In many species, offspring are produced but high mortality occurs at early in life that is only some survived to reproductive age. In other species, mortality rate is highest in older individuals and in some other species, the mortality occurs late in life or mortality occurs with equal frequency at all ages.
