The reason that the neon gas in the glass tube doesn't absorb orange and red wavelength.

Introduction: The neon is an inert gas which is not reactive in nature. In the discharge tube, the electron gets excited and strike the discharge coated tube and emits radiation of different colors in a given spectrum. While the neon gas atom in a glass tube are in ground state which does not react with other neon atoms and not emits any radiation.
