Introduction:
Phasmids are commonly called as stick insects. They are carnivorous insects and resemble twigs or dead leaves. They range in size from half-inch splinters to half-meter walking tree branches. They camouflage to hide from the predators and to stalk their prey.
To suggest:
An experiment to test a hypothesis which explains the way phasmid’s appearance or behavior can be adaptive.
Introduction:
Mimicry is characterized by the superficial resemblance of two or more organisms that are not closely related taxonomically. This provides advantage like protection from predators. In most studied mimetic relationships, the advantage is one-sided.
