a. adduction:

The opposing movement that brings the limb across the midline or toward the body. The transverse is planes of motion in which the adduction of the shoulder girdle occurs. Vertical is the axis of rotation for the adduction in the shoulder girdle.

b.abduction:

Any movement of the limb or the body parts that pulla away from the midline is called abduction. The planes of motion for the abduction in the shoulder girdle is transverse. The vertical axis is the axis of rotation for the abduction in the shoulder girdle.

c. Rotation upward:

It is a rotation about an axis perpendicular to the scapula plane. The lower and upper section of the trapezius and the serratus anterior muscle are primarily accountable for upward rotation. d. Rotation downward:

e. Elevation:

The elevation of the shoulder girdle is defined as the movement where the scapula moves in an upwards or superior direction occurring at the Sternoclavicular joints. The plane of motion for the elevation in the shoulder girdle is transverse. The axis of rotation for the elevation is the vertical axis.

f. Depression:

The reverse of the elevation movement is depression. The plane of motion for the depression in the shoulder girdle is transverse. The axis of rotation for the depression is the vertical axis.
